We will guide you in learning boating!

A boating license is not mandatory in Finland, but obtaining one through SB is a good way to get started with safe boating. After completing the course, you will be ready to handle a boat in marked inland waterways using modern instruments. You can complete the theory portion of the course online. Practical boat handling and navigation exercises are done on the boat under supervision.

Boat rentals

SELECT A ONE-DAY CRUISE OR A WEEK-LONG CHARTER

Saimaa Boating is the place to rent high-quality boats. As an SB customer, you also enjoy all SB benefits, including a slip and a diverse selection of service agreements. Rental prices can be found by boat type in the reservation calendar.

Rental period: Monday 17:00 - Monday 08:00 - The boat must be at the "Home" harbour by Sunday evening.

You can also rent a boat with a captain, and fully enjoy the deep blue of Lake Saimaa while letting us take care of everything else. Minimum rental time is 3 hours (with a captain) and 1 week (without a captain) depending on availability. Prices start at 400 Euros depending on the model of boat the length of the charter. Ask about special offers, as well!

NOTE! As an SB rental customer, after the lease period you have an option to convert your rental into a time share on special terms, and we will deduct the cost of your rental from the cost of the share!
